Silicone sheets offer an alternative to conventional thermal compounds several advantages:

In particular the pre-assembly service eliminates the time-consuming application of thermal compounds. Also other parameters of silicone sheets, such as operating temperature range, thermal conductivity, storability, dielectric constant, handling are markedly superior to thermal greases.

Another advantage is the clean and effective application of films on the workpiece. A silicone film can be optimally adapted to the surface, the air pockets between the components are minimized and thus makes an ideal heat transfer from the semiconductor to the heat sink. You can choose between non-adhesive film for screw mounting, one-sided self-adhesive film for fast attachment with clip assembly or both sides self-adhesive film for direct mounting of semiconductors on heat sinks.

With extremely small tolerances, a uniform contact, and thus a stable thermal compound are secured. Therefore will not occur variations of operating temperatures by uneven heat dissipation even at high volumes.
